It’s a common misconception that the first quarter of the new year will be the slowest for booking and planning events, but Tripleseat surveyed 500 UK consumers about their 2023 event plans, and 53% said they are planning one to two events in the first six months of the new year.
Prepare ahead
Spring is the most popular time of the year for events to occur, and next year this will be even more desirable with celebrations such as Easter and the coronation of King Charles III. The most common event types being planned include birthday parties, anniversaries, social events, and weddings.
What to include
67% of people said they’re planning to book a venue instead of hosting at home, with top choices being a pub or bar, private restaurant space, hotels, and unique venues. When looking at amenities, Brits said their top preferences are:
- Enough restrooms for guests
- Variety of seating arrangement
Food goes hand-in-hand with fun
More than 30% of people who responded to the survey said they will be looking to order food - no matter where the event takes place. So this is a perfect opportunity for venues to promote their catering services and options, including dinners, appetiser selections, office lunches, party deliveries and more!
